Veronica Trunzo was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, and attended the University of Toronto to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in literature and history. In 2013, she moved to Cambodia, where she began teaching English and hosting book events and poetry readings. In 2016, she moved to China, where she continued her teaching and writing journey, writing short stories about her travels and poetry about her life experiences. She published her first novel, Like a Lotus, in 2021, and her second novel, Dolls for my Daughter, was just released in September 2025. She lives in Calgary, Canada, as a
full-time mom and writer.
