Advent Calendars

An Advent calendar is a special calendar used to count the days of Advent in anticipation of Christmas, often beginning on December 1st. The Advent calendar was first used by German Lutherans in the 19th and 20th centuries. (source: Wikipedia)

Each year, we assemble and wrap 24 books, one book to be opened and read each day before Christmas.

We assemble a set of books according to age and interest. 

Our categories typically include:

    • Board Books (Ages 0-2)

    • Preschool (Ages 4-6)

    • Levelled Readers

    • Chapter Books (Ages 6-9)

    • Chapter Books (Ages 9-12)

    • Young Adult

    • Adult (Various Genres)

    • Archie Comics

​Prices for 2024: Childrens (24 books) $34.95, Adult (24 books $39.95) & Adult (12 books) $19.95.

​Each calendar is labelled with the category and a list of enclosed books.

Each wrapped book is labelled with a number 1-24 that corresponds to the list.

Some may have additional information such as if they contain French language books, or that they contain vintage books, for example.

​We attempt to give an accurate general idea of what is contained in each bundle, without spoiling the surprise!

Advents will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis (no phone or online orders) for the first week.

We work year-round collecting, sorting, assembling, and wrapping to be able to have the best possible selection!
